By using HockeyTest (the web app at hockeytest.com and the iOS/Android apps), you agree to these terms. They are written in plain language — the spirit is: be nice, don't rip off the game.
1. The service
HockeyTest offers a roster and statistics quiz with spaced-repetition learning, a daily challenge, and an optional premium subscription with unlimited review, extra packs, and cloud sync.
2. Subscriptions
- Premium is billed through Apple or Google at the price shown at purchase (monthly or yearly).
- Payment renews automatically until cancelled in your store's subscription settings.
- Refunds are handled per the store's policy. Ask us if something is wrong first.
3. Content
Quiz content is compiled from public statistics sources. The facts themselves are not owned by anyone (facts aren't copyrightable), and the game's editorial presentation, datasets and packs are licensed, not public. We work hard on accuracy, but errors happen — content is provided "as is" and is not professional or betting advice.
4. Acceptable use
- Use the app for personal, non-commercial learning and fun.
- No scraping, bulk extraction, or redistribution of the game's datasets.
- No attempting to bypass the subscription check or otherwise misusing the service.
5. Intellectual property
The application's source code is released under the MIT license in its public repository. The "HockeyTest" name and wordmark are trademarks of the owner. The league and team names used are reference only —
HockeyTest is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the NHL or the NHLPA.
6. Disclaimers
To the extent permitted by law, HockeyTest is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, and the owner's liability is limited to the amount you paid in the preceding 12 months. Your use of the service may be suspended or terminated if you violate these terms.
7. Changes
We may update these terms; the effective date above reflects the latest version. Continued use after a change means you accept the new terms.
