In short: HockeyTest is a quiz app. If you use it without creating an account, nothing about your quiz progress leaves your device. If you do create an account, we store the minimum needed to make progress sync work — and we never sell or share any of it.
Data we collect
- Quiz progress without an account. Cards, intervals, streaks and settings live only in your browser or on your device. We cannot see them.
- Account data (optional). If you create an account for cloud sync, we store your email address and your quiz progress. Accounts are optional; the app works fully without one.
- Usage analytics. Cookie-less page-view statistics and anonymous, event-level product insights (for example “completed a daily quiz” or “shared a score”). Nothing in the events identifies you personally, and we run no advertising trackers.
- Errors. When the app hits a technical error we may record the error message, app version and device type to fix bugs.
- Payments. Subscriptions are purchased through Apple or Google. We never see your card or payment details. A purchase receipt from our billing service (RevenueCat) is checked to unlock premium features.
Cookies
We do not set advertising or tracking cookies. Our hosting/CDN and analytics use standard caches and aggregate data only.
Who we share data with
Only the service providers the app runs on: Supabase (accounts and data storage), Cloudflare (hosting and anonymous web analytics), RevenueCat (purchase entitlements), and Apple/Google (payments and store distribution). We do not sell, rent, or trade your information.
Retention and deletion
Account data is kept while the account exists. You can delete your account in-app; per store policy, the deletion is processed within 30 days. Deleting the app or clearing site data removes all local quiz progress.
Children
HockeyTest is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If this policy changes, the effective date above is updated and the change is noted in the app. Material changes will be communicated clearly.
